Social Justice Story Hour

Calendar Date:
Repeats every week every Saturday.
Saturday, April 3, 2021 - 11:30pm

Diverse group of kids holding books

Thanks to a generous grant from Cultural Coalition Washington County, we bring you Social Justice Story Hour for ages 4-7 and their families.

Let's make a difference in the world through literacy! At this six-week story hour event, this group will get to know each other through guided activities designed to get our youngest members of the community to think about social justice issues. Whether the books presented are a window to the world or a mirror, your empathy and understanding of the people in your community will grow.

Each participant will get a kit with a two books, multicultural crayon colors and supplies for craft activities. Each week we will read books, sing songs, and lead you and your child through activities related to the story hour topic.

Saturday March 6th –  Discovering Our Own Identities

Saturday March 13th  –  Making Unlikely Friends

Saturday March 20th  – Coping With Loss
