Family Fun Night: Animal Show! Wednesday, August 28, 6:30pm Conservation Ambassadors’ Wild Things offers an educational and exciting presentation that includes animal facts, anecdotes and live animals! All ages welcome. Doors open at 6:20pm, and the show begins at 6:30pm. Doors will close if we reach posted room capacity.

Rides and Readers Car Show at the Main Library Join the San Leandro Public Library for our 3rd annual car show event at the library! Car registration opens August 1st. VOLUNTEER AS AN ADULT LITERACY TUTOR Project Literacy, the library's adult literacy and ESL program, is training new volunteer tutors in September. Volunteer tutors help adult students improve their basic reading, writing, and English language skills so they can meet their goals and live more fulfilling lives. Visit the Museum! The History Museum tells the story of San Leandro, beginning with the first people, the Muwekma Ohlone, and follows the changes through Spanish/Mexican California, the Gold Rush, the beginnings of a new American town and the developments of the 20th Century through World War II. Our newest exhibit looks at the history of redlining and housing discrimination in San Leandro.
