Library Operations Updates
|

|
Independence Day Closure on Thursday, July 4 All San Leandro Public Library branches will be closed on Thursday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday. Library book drops will remain accessible and normal library hours will resume on Friday, July 5.
|
New Sunday Hours Effective July 7, 2024 San Leandro Public Library’s Main and Manor Branch facilities will be open 1:00pm-5:00pm on Sundays starting July 7, in response to community focus group input.

Complete the Summer Library Program by July 31 to Earn Your Finisher Event Invitation! There’s still time to join and complete the Summer Library Program! - Read/listen to books or complete fun activities to earn points, then use your points to choose prizes.
- Earn 80 points by July 31 and you’ll also receive an invitation to a finisher event: Summer Reading Carnival for Kids on Aug. 3, Murder Mystery Party for Teens on Aug. 9, or the adult finale on Aug. 16.

Disability Awareness Month

July is Disability Awareness Month! The San Leandro Public Library is proudly partnering with local organization East Bay Innovations (EBI) to celebrate and honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the Disability Community. Look forward to resources, a book display, and a screening of "Crip Camp" with an ice cream sundae discussion afterwards. (See Website for Details for the events spanning from July 21-July 31).

Historic Cyanotype Photo Workshop The San Leandro History Museum invites you to join us for a unique Cyanotype Photo Workshop. This program is geared for ages 10+ (adults welcome). Participants will learn about the process of cyanotype photo printing while learning about the photographs from the San Leandro Historical Photograph and Document Collection.
