Farm to Shelf: Food Security Discussion

Berkeley Reads
April 21, 2021 - 2:00pm-3:00pm (ended)

Celebrate the Bay Area’s food and beverage scene with the Library’s Farm to Shelf program series! In April, find out what local organizations are doing to support food security in our communities and nutritional health.

The Library hosts a panel discussion that will explore the challenge of food security and lack of nutrition that is currently affecting many in our community. Speakers representing Berkeley Food Network, Meals on Wheels, Fresh Approach, and Berkeley READs, all of which are helping keep our underserved communities fed and well nourished, will introduce themselves and explain more about their services. Join us to learn how you can access these services and/ or to learn about these organizations volunteer opportunities.

And learn how to make two easy bean soup recipes guaranteed to keep you full and energized!

Register for the event on Zoom.

This event is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Berkeley Public Library and Berkeley Public Library Foundation.
