Plant Medicine: The History of Cannabis

Join us as "Nurses With a Mission" founders Michele Morris and Holly Bidlack take a look at the history of cannabis in the United States.  They'll look at the roots of the current stigma towards the pland and how and why it works on the body.  

Program is free and no registration required.  

Annual Peeps Diorama Contest

March 18th through March 30th

Create a unique and original diorama using Peeps Marshmallow Candies as your main characters.  Diorama should be roughly shoe-box sized

Bring your diorama to the library any time March 18th through March 23rd during regular library hours for display. 

Judging will take place March 25th through March 30th.  Winner will be announced soon after.  (VOTING EXTENDED TO APRIL 3rd)

Prizes awarded for the following categories:

Adult, Family (or group), Kids (under 13), and the coveted PEEP-les Choice Award.

 

Solar Eclipse Program

Tuesday, April 2nd at 6:30 p.m.

stock photo of a solar eclipseJoin Roger Menard, from the Astronomical Society of SNE, as he talks about Solar Eclipses.  We'll learn what they are, how they happen, about solar eclipses in history, and how to view them safely.

Let's prepare for the upcoming eclipse that occurs on April 8th.

Program is free and no registriation is required.  Free solar eclipse glasses will be handed out to participants.  

Also join us each Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., in March, (weather permitting) as the WHS Astronomy Club sets up their telescope on the library lawn to view any solar activity taking place.
