Pioneer Center Youth Programs presents Molodi

Pioneer Center Youth Programs presents Molodi

Molodi is a performance ensemble that takes body percussion to the extreme. Molodi blends collegiate stepping, tap, gumboots, beatbox, poetry, and hip hop dance with guerilla theatre and robust personalities that bring to life a high-energy, rhythmic experience. The goal is to bring a fresh perspective to storytelling using a unique blend of traditional and contemporary percussive dance styles...smothered in a big dollop of funk! Stepping is hailed as one of the most exciting dance forms created by Americans in the 20th century. Incorporating elements such as clapping, tapping, song, dance, and acrobatics, this percussive art form was first developed by African-American fraternities and sororities to promote unity among members.

All of our virtual events are shared on Facebook, and are archived on the Library website, and YouTube. This program will be archived for 1 month.
