FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES
 
The Children's Department is open for browsing with limitations. There are no toys or games. Two computers are available for kids to use.

Dot Markers Kit
Registration & pick-up begins
Thursday, May 6
For toddlers age 1 - 4 years.
Kit includes a dot marker and activities. Dot markers are easy for little ones to use, and help build hand/eye coordination and hand strength.
 
 
Littles' Bingo
Pick-up begins Tuesday, May 11
No registration, while supplies last.
For toddlers age 2 - 4 years.
Using cereal as bingo chips,
children can play bingo at home to reinforce numbers knowledge.
 
 
 
 
Paper Cookie Craft
Registration & pick-up begins
Thursday, May 13
For children in grades K - 3.
Create your favorite types of cookies in time for National Chocolate Chip Day on May 15!
 
 
Popsicle Stick Mushroom House
Registration and pick-up begins
Tuesday, May 18
For children in grades 1 - 5.
Create a cute mushroom house out of popsicle sticks and paper.
 
 
The Rainbow Fish Craft & Story
Registration and pick-up of craft begins Thursday, May 20
For children in grades K - 3.
Storytime takes place via Zoom on Thursday, May 27 at 4:00 PM.
Registrants will be emailed the link.
 
 
Free Craft Kits every Saturday
The box will be located in
the Children's Department.
 
 
Concept of the
Week Kit
 
Pick up a new kit every Wednesday
 
Our number kits end in the second week of May. They'll be followed by a shapes kit and an emotions kit to finish our preschool concepts kits. Each kit includes a craft, a cut-out, and activity sheets. Recommended for age 5 and younger.
Pick up in the Children's Dept. or call 631-286-0818 ext. 2 to arrange curbside pick-up.

Amy Baires is our social work intern from Stony Brook University. She can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.
