Food & Drink Policy

The Weymouth Public Libraries strives to create a clean and welcoming space for patrons and to minimize damage to library materials, furniture, and equipment. 

Food and beverages may be consumed in the cafe area at Tufts Library. 

Small, contained snacks and beverages with a secure lid may be consumed in other areas of Tufts Library, and the library branches, with the exception of:

No food or beverage (with the exception of water with a secure lid) may be consumed in the Digital Media Lab, Quiet Reading Room or Local History Room at Tufts Library, or in the vicinity of any public computer at Tufts Library or any of the branches. 

The Weymouth Public Libraries is not responsible for monitoring library buildings for allergens. 

As a courtesy to all library users, food containers, wrappers, and all other trash and recycling should be disposed of in the appropriate receptacles.
