Here’s a super cute HANDPRINT BEE PUPPET CRAFT to get you buzzing! Bee crafts are perfect for Spring, Summer or any time when your kids are interested in these amazing insects.
We always love handprint crafts because they make such good keepsakes and little gifts. This handprint bee craft is right up there at the top of our lists of favourites! It’s got gorgeous striped fingers and pretty doily wings!
We’ve turned our handprint bees into fun puppets but you could equally stick them onto the front of greeting cards or pictures instead.

How To Make A Handprint Bee Puppet Craft
Supplies To Make Bee Puppets:
- Yellow Cardstock
- Pencil
- Black and Red Marker Pens
- Paper Doily
- Jumbo Popsicle Stick
- Black Pipe Cleaner
- Googly Eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Sticky Tape
Handprint Bee Craft Tutorial
1 – Use a pencil to draw around your hand onto yellow cardstock.
2 – To make the bee’s stripes draw horizontal lines across the fingers and colour alternate ones in black. (It is easier to do the colouring before you cut the handprint out.)
3 – Cut out your handprint.
4 – To make the bee’s wings cut two slices out of a paper doily and glue them onto the back of the handprint.
5 – To make the bees antennae fold a black pipe cleaner in half to make a V. Curl the ends over and sticky tape the point of the V onto the back of the bee’s head.
6 – If you are turning your handprint bee craft into a bee puppet then glue a jumbo craft stick onto the back of the middle finger so it pokes out below.
7 – Finish off your bee puppet with a pair of googly eyes and a cut red smile.
