Walk Safe LI: Pedestrian/Bike Safety (Virtual)

Long Island is one of the most dangerous regions in the state for pedestrian injuries and fatalities. Cindy Brown, recognized leader in pedestrian safety, will discuss the pedestrian safety laws that walkers, cyclists, and motorists need to know. 
Highlights include: How and why Daylight Saving Time affects pedestrian safety, HAWK pedestrian safety signals being installed in parts of Nassau and Suffolk, the dangers of distracted walking, and misconceptions about visibility. Click here to register.

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required.
Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
