Our Summer Reading Clubs have begun! Click your age group below for details and to sign up. Looking for s'more? Well, don't forget about all of our excellent programs and crafts. Finally, make sure to reserve your free tickets for the science talk and sci-fi movie at CEED -- it'll be a whale of an event!

Our patrons may choose up to three packets per visit from a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Learn more here.
 
Our Give or Take Food Pantry
is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!

Amy Baires is our social work intern from Stony Brook University. She can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required.

Appointment Assistance for Seniors age 60+.

We cannot guarantee we'll be able to get you an appointment. Vaccinations do not take place at the library. South Country Library cardholders only.
 
 
Are you homebound?
You can get a COVID-19 Vaccine at home.
If you wish to receive the J&J vaccine, call 311.
The Suffolk Dept. of Health Services will send a nurse to your home to answer questions and administer the vaccine. Click for more info.
 
 
Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
