Drive-thru Shed-the-Meds Event
Thursday, July 15, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the Library Parking Lot
Assemblyman Joe DeStefano and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office offer this opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted medication, to keep them out of the hands of children and out of the environment.
No liquids will be accepted; pills must be emptied from containers

Blood Drive at the Library
Wednesday, July 21, 1:00 - 7:00 PM in the Library Community Room
Masks must be worn. No registration -- walk-ins welcome.
Eat well (low fat) & drink fluids beforehand.
Bring your donor card or ID with signature or photo.
Eligibility: Healthy people age 17-75, who weigh at least 110 lbs.

Each game is available to the first twenty participants,
and closes at 9:00 PM on the last day.

Our Give or Take Food Pantry
is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
|
|
|
We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!

Fee: $2.00 per notarized signature

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
|
|
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
|
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
|
|
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.

We cannot guarantee we'll be able to get you an appointment. Vaccinations do not take place at the library. South Country Library cardholders only.

Are you homebound?
You can get a COVID-19 Vaccine at home.
If you wish to receive the J&J vaccine, call 311.
The Suffolk Dept. of Health Services will send a nurse to your home to answer questions and administer the vaccine. Click for more info.

Our patrons may choose up to three packets per visit from a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Learn more here.
