Mariko Fujimura of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office will talk about her work in the FCSO Crime Scene Unit. Come learn what they do, the tools they use and how their work helps catch criminals. Ms. Fujimura will discuss the 5 Step Protocol of crime scene processing, evidence collection, latent print processing, and more. If you aren't afraid to get a bit messy, you can participate in a powder processing and tape lifting demonstration. This program is intended for adults and mature teens.
Mariko Fujimura, Crime Scene Supervisor, has been with the Sheriff’s Office since June 2016 and the crime scene unit since May 2017. She is certified in Crime Scene Investigation (Georgia POST), marijuana examination (GBI), and is a latent print examiner. Her education includes a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida.
