Jim Cummings teaches the 24 movements of the Beijing Tai Chi form. Learn the fundamental movements and theory; improve balance, stability, and overall health. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and soft-soled shoes. Register in-person at the Reference Desk. Program fee: $17.50

This ancient, evidence-based Chinese healing art consists of gentle, low impact exercises which provide many benefits including lowered blood pressure, increased bone density, balance, and coordination. Instructor Tom Linden is certified by the Center for Taiji Studies. Register in-person at the Reference Desk. Program fee: $24.00

Writing Workshop Wednesdays, 6:45 - 8:30 PM 9/15, 9/29, 10/13, 10/27, 11/10, 12/8, & 12/22. Will not meet 11/24. Join fellow writers to create and constructively criticize your own work and the work of others. A piece of writing is due each session. Register at the Reference Desk to receive your first assignment, due at the beginning of the first class.

Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.

Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.

Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.

COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment Assistance for Seniors age 60+. Call Reference for assistance 631-286-0818 ext. 1. We cannot guarantee we'll be able to get you an appointment. Vaccinations do not take place at the library. South Country Library cardholders only.

Are you homebound? You can get a COVID-19 Vaccine at home. If you wish to receive the J&J vaccine, call 311. The Suffolk Dept. of Health Services will send a nurse to your home to answer questions and administer the vaccine. Click for more info.
