Hello South Country Community,
 
As September wraps up with an assortment of programs for any age, our busy October schedule will include the Great Give Back and much more. On October 1, register for our Family Pumpkin Painting Party. Come to the library on Saturday evening, October 9, for '80s music live outdoors. Details are below. Plus, mark your calendar for our Halloween Green Screen Photos at the library on Saturday, October 30.
 
Teens -- come by to play the TeenTober Weekly Raffle each week in October. The first week's challenge is quite jarring!
 
We have a social work intern available for those in need of assistance -- find the details below the Weekly Trivia.

Join us for fall fun! Enjoy some music to get you in the autumn spirit while you paint pumpkins. We’ll provide supplies for each family’s use and there will be several other tricks and treats to enjoy.

Free, no registration required!
 
From the big hair to the bodacious '80s-inspired costumes, The Ronald Reagans take their audiences back to the most radical decade ever...the 1980s!
 
The Big '80s Show is a family-friendly performance of the most authentic, note-for-note recreations of the chart-topping pop, new wave, and rock hits of the '80s.
 
The library will provide a limited amount of chairs; feel free to bring your own and/or blankets. In case of rain, the show will be canceled.

Social Work Services
Raeanne Harris is our social work intern from Stony Brook University. She can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.

Our Give or Take Food Pantry
is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!

Renew or Apply for a New Library Card on Our Website
South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required.
You can also visit our Patron Services desk at the front for the same service.
Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
