Walking Tour of 19th Century Stillwater Architecture

Walking Tour of 19th Century Stillwater Architecture

An additional date has been added for this event, due to popular demand.

Everyone today can distinguish a ranch style house from a split level. But how many of you are familiar with the house styles of the nineteenth-century in Stillwater?  Come and take a tour with local historian Don Empson to discover the difference between a Greek Revival home and a Gothic style house; between a French Second Empire house and a Queen Anne. After this tour, you will see those old Stillwater houses in a whole new light.

Meet on the steps of St. Michael's Church at 611 3rd St S for this approximately 1 hour 15 minute tour, which involves walking about a mile.

If weather does not cooperate, we will send an email in the morning to reschedule to the planned Rain Date of Saturday Oct. 16.
