2020 was a year full of isolation and upheaval as our social worlds contracted due to COVID-19 lockdowns, expanded in protests against police brutality and repressive racism, became embattled in political unrest, and more. In this workshop with Michael Kleber-Diggs, exercise your writing muscles in feeling, thinking, and making sense of the past year and your experiences. Writers in all genres are welcome.

Michael Kleber-Diggs (https://michaelkleberdiggs.com/) is the author of Worldly Things, which was awarded the 2020 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize. He was born and raised in Kansas and now lives in St. Paul, Minnesota. His work has appeared in Lit Hub, the RumpusRain Taxi, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Water~Stone ReviewMidway ReviewNorth Dakota Quarterly and a few anthologies. Michael teaches poetry and creative non-fiction through the Minnesota Prison Writers Workshop, and comes to us for this workshop through the Loft Literary Center (https://loft.org/)
