Middlemarch, A Study of Provincial Life
The Falmouth Public Library's Library Director, Linda Collins, is proposing to form a group to explore the novel Middlemarch together. The group would read two installments at a time and then meet for discussion four times over the course of the book.

If you are interested in joining in the reading of Middlemarch, please sign up by filling out and submitting this form. Once the group is formed, the most convenient time and schedule for the discussions will be determined.

Middlemarch, by the English author George Eliot, first appeared in eight installments in 1871 and 1872.  The novel is set in Middlemarch, a fictional English Midlands town, and follows the lives of its many residents. Eliot began writing the novel in 1869–1870 and completed it in 1871. While initial reviews were mixed when first published, it is now considered her best work and one of the great English novels.
