PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES Two computers are available for kids to use in the Children's Dept. Some toys and games are also available for play.

Elf on the Shelf Contest begins Friday, November 26 For children up through 5th grade. Twinkle the Elf returns to the library the day after Thanksgiving!
|
|
Twinkle will hide in the Children's Department and move around each night. If your child finds Twinkle and tells a Children's Librarian, they will be entered into a raffle! One entry per child per day allowed. Winner will be randomly selected.
|

In-Person Programs for November Registration is open for all November In-Person Programs. Register at the library, by phone (631-286-0818 ext. 2), or click the links below. Programs take place downstairs in our community room.

Mother Goose (register individually for each session) For children ages newborn - 2 years with an adult. Sing, say, & play along with nursery rhymes and meet other parents/caregivers.

Toddler Storytime For children ages 18 - 35 months with an adult. Come for stories, dancing, and fun.
|
|
Preschool Storytime (register individually for each session) For children ages 3 - 5 years with an adult. Come hear some fun stories.

LEGO® Club For grades K - 5

Melting Snowman For grades K - 5

Craft Kits Kits are available for pick-up as soon as registration begins. Register in-person, by phone (631-286-0818 ext. 2), or online.

Thanksgiving Dinner Craft For children in grades K - 5. Create an adorable Thanksgiving dinner out of paper.
|
|
Paper Roll Dragon Kit For children in grades K - 3. Make a fiery dragon to fight back the coming winter!

New Concept Kits Every Wednesday For children ages 2.5 - 5 years. Pick up a concept kit to help with early learning. Contains worksheets and a craft on a particular concept or letter. No registration, while supplies last.

Free Craft Kits are available every Saturday! All ages, no registration, while supplies last.

Bright by Text Families and other caregivers can receive free text messages with easy, practical tips and activities for children from before birth to age eight. Available in English or Spanish. To sign up, text FAMILYPLACE to 274448.
