The Museum’s collection of historic firefighting vehicles and apparatus — from ornate hand-drawn hose carts of the eighteenth century to brawny 1,000-gallon diesel-powered tankers of the 1970s — is unrivaled.

Museum Hours:
Open Wednesday to Sunday 10am–4:30 pm. Gift shop is open until 5pm. The Museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Please Note:
On May 11, 2024 and May 12, 2024, the Museum will be hosting the AKC Scent Trials. There will be numerous dogs inside and outside of the Museum competing. Certain galleries will also be closed to accommodate this event.
If you are not a “dog person,” we would suggest that you plan your visit for another day, so that the Museum can support this event. This event is crucial to developing scent dogs that will be the foundation for breeding excellent arson and search and rescue dogs. Thank you!

Molly is the Museum’s Dalmatian, named in honor of Molly Williams, one of New York state’s first female volunteer firefighters.
