Defensive Driving Thursday, February 24 or Saturday March 5, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, & collision insurance for 3 years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months.

Health Insurance Enrollment Help Tuesday, March 8, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (in-person, by appointment only)

Call (516) 505-5526 to schedule an appointment. Specify South Country Library for the location. A certified Healthcare Navigator will help you enroll through NY State of Health Martketplae. Includes: Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential and Qualified Health Plans. Masks will be required during appointments.

Boating Safety Course Saturday, March 26, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Under NY law, all motorboat operators must complete a boat safety course.
|
|
This U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary-instructed course includes their safety book and grants a certificate upon completion. Bring a snack and drink. Register in person at the Reference Desk with a check or money order payable to USCG AUX. Fee: $40 adults, $35 under 18. |

Enrichment Kits for Adults with Special Needs Please let us know of any allergies or specific accommodations needed. You may call or stop by the Reference Desk with your library card to register ahead of time. Pick-up begins on the first of the month.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers

Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
|
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
|
|
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
