Winter Reading Challenge
Newborn - 5th Grade
Register in person at the Children's Desk and complete fun reading challenges to earn a prize! From now through February 28.
 
 
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Newborn - Pre-K
Register in person at the Children's Desk. Read books to your child at your own pace and earn prizes.
 

 
Clifford the Big Red Dog Contest
During all of February,
for newborns - 5th graders.
 
Clifford will be in the Children's Department during February.
Can you find where he is?
Tell a Children's Librarian when you find him and we'll enter you in a raffle.
 
One randomly-selected child will win their own Clifford! One entry per child per day.

Pajama Storytime
Thursday, February 24, 6:00 PM
Grades K - 5. 
Bring your favorite stuffed toy
and come in pajamas
for a fun storytime!
 
Superhero Storytime & Craft
Saturday, February 26, 10:30 AM
Grades K - 3 with an adult. 
Listen to some
superpowered stories
and become a hero!

Family Movie Kit
Registration & pick-up begins
Thursday, February 24
For ages newborn - grade 5.
One kit per family.
 
Each family will receive a kit filled with goodies to have a fun movie night. You'll also get some movie suggestions from our collection.
Note: There is no DVD is this kit.
 
Design a Puzzle
Registration & pick-up begins
Friday, February 25
For children in grades Pre-K - 5.
Design and color your own puzzle,
then take it apart and see if
you can put it back together!
 
 
Toddler Sorting Craft
Registration & pick-up begins
Thursday, March 3
For toddlers age 18 - 35 months.
Using color-coded muffin pans, children can sort, count, and identify colors.
 
 
St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Chain Craft
Registration & pick-up begins
Friday, March 4
For children in grades K - 5.
Using colorful strips of paper and
a pot of gold, children will make a
fun St. Patrick's Day decoration. 
 

 
Kids Birthdays
 
We love to make kids feel
special for their birthday!
During your child's birthday month, let us know at the Children's Desk so we can put their name on a paper candle on the bulletin board birthday cupcake, and give them a birthday sticker.

The Library offers free passes to participating museums around
Long Island and New York City.

For children ages 2.5 - 5 years.
Pick up a concept kit to
help with early learning.
Contains worksheets and a craft on
a particular concept or letter.
