Pioneer Center Youth Programs presents Larry Wilson

Pioneer Center Youth Programs presents Larry Wilson: Magic, just the bratty younger sibling of science

Larry performs extraordinary feats of magic using student volunteers in direct, hands-on learning applications, feats that will leave students agape in disbelief. As astounding as these tricks may be, the secrets behind them are often more incredible. Larry will demonstrate some of the basic principles of magic which make them a lot less mysterious and, in the process, introduce the notion that magic is really just the bratty, younger sibling of science.

Although the two disciplines seem worlds apart, Larry will quickly make the connection so that students who never thought they were interested in science will be astounded to discover a lot of perplexing stuff that can easily be explained when we understand the science behind it. Under Larry’s master tutelage, students will discover the fundamental scientific principles behind the world’s most amazing magic as he teaches several simple (yet amazing) magic tricks that all students can do at home with common, everyday household objects, like crayons, coins, paper, pencils, and scotch tape.
