Nevada Historical Society presents High Noon with Neal Cobb, a wonderful history series that delves into fascinating Nevada topics with local experts. Neal Cobb is a passionate historian and honorary curator for the Nevada Historical Society. He loves all things Nevada.  Join Neal Cobb and our monthly speakers as we explore interesting topics and join in the audience conversations.

Erin Breen is an Emmy award-winning journalist, columnist and writer for television, radio and print who has put 25 years of experience to work honing a true talent for storytelling. Her observations of family life and her personal takes on universal issues, made for touching stories in the Reno Gazette Journal. She spent 10 years reporting and anchoring on the Emmy award-winning Channel 2 News. In 2015, Erin changed direction and moved to Ireland to get her master’s degree at the National University of Ireland in Galway, and tells stories of Ireland in a podcast called Erin’s Isle. Today she co-hosts the Saturday CBS Channel 2 program “Aging is Awesome.”

Erin Breen began her broadcasting career as a weathergirl in Eureka, California and over nearly three decades has worked in radio and television, public and commercial. She was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in August of 2011. Erin was awarded an Emmy for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences/Northern California Region for Outstanding Achievement in Daytime News for smaller markets in 2008-2009
