COVID 19 Library Openings/Closings: Home

Library is open  (M - W 9 to 6 | Th 9 - 8 | Fri 9 - 5 | Sat 11 - 3 | closed Sun). Copy, fax and notary services are all available. We also offer curbside service and home delivery. Walk-up window is open during library hours. We no longer require that marks be worn but staff will wear them if requested. This is regardless of vaccination status. Materials may be returned through the "Many Happy Returns" book slot to the left of the front door or at the front desk.

Chester has returned to regular hours of business:

Curbside services are still available upon request, as well as use of the Click and Collect app.

Greenwood Lake is now at regular hours with a one hour time limit.

Library patrons are permitted in the building for a total of 45 minutes, once per day. All library patrons must exit the building on or before the exit time designated when they enter.

Due to physical distancing guidelines, staff may not come closer than 6 feet to help you with computers or other equipment

Highland Falls Library is open to the public Mon-Fri (10:00am-5:00pm) & Sat (10:00am-2:00pm).

• Children's Area does not require an appointment and more than 1 family may be in the area
• 2 desktop computers available for up to 45 minutes (must be 18 years or older)
• Document services  (fax, copy, print) must be requested in person. Faxes sent only after payment is made (cash or check)
• LATE FEES will be applied to library materials that are returned after the due date
• WiFi available 9am-5pm outside library
• NO donations of books, DVDs, or CDs will be accepted at this time

Rose Memorial Library has updated its patron hours, effective immediately. We are now open for standard library use and curbside service (by request at 845.786.2100, Ext. 11) the following hours:

SLOATSBURG PUBLIC LIBRARY

Jan 11, 2022:  Sloatsburg is back open for curbside only for the rest of the week. Hours for today are 12-6 and tomorrow 1-6.  Hours for Thursday and Friday will be determined soon. 

• As of Monday, August 17, the Sloatsburg Library is excited to announce it will re-open for patrons to browse for books, CD's and DVD's (for up to 30 minutes per visit). We will limit the number of patrons inside at any given time to adapt to NY State guidelines and all patrons (over the age of two) must have a working mask on their face to be in our building.

  While we will be open for browsing in our main space, our children's room will continue to be closed (though all our children's materials will be made available upon request). In addition, there will be no seating available and food and drink are not permitted at the current time. 

  Library computers will be available during open hours by appointment only and for a maximum of 30 minutes per day. Computer time will only be available with a reservation. There may be a limited browsing option for library materials during these appointments. Patrons waiting for computer appointments will be asked to wait outside the library. 

  The library will dedicate special hours for seniors and immunocompromised patrons admittance only. These hours are as follows: 

  Monday - Friday: 10am - 11am
  Saturday: Noon - 1pm

  Hours for the general public will be as follows:

  Monday - Thursday: 11am - 7pm
  Friday: 11am - 5pm
  Saturday: 1pm - 4pm

Suffern Free Library is open to the public for all regular services.

Our new library hours are Mon-Thurs 9:30am-8:00pm, Fri & Sat 9:30am-5pm, Sun 12-5pm.

Masks are optional at Suffern Library.

Our library is open to the public. Masks and social distancing are recommended. Free masks are available. Curbside service and home delivery are available. Our book-drop is open 24/7 for returns.
