Medicare: When and How to Plan Thursday, March 24, 6:30 - 8:00 PM (via Zoom) If you turn 65 in 2022 and are confused by Medicare, this discussion explains what is covered by each Medicare Part (A, B, C, D), how to fill coverage gaps, and what matters if you are still working. Boating Safety Course Saturday, March 26, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM This U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary-instructed course includes their safety book and grants a certificate upon completion.

Bring a snack and drink. Register in person at the Reference Desk with a check or money order payable to USCG AUX. Fee: $40 adults, $35 under 18. NY Boating Safety Certificate Requirements Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1988 needs a certificate this year. A boating safety certificate will be needed: in 2023 for those born on or after 1/1/83. in 2024 for those born on or after 1/1/78. in 2025 for ALL motor boat operators regardless of age. |

Pen Pal Exchange Program South Country Library and Lunenburg Library in Nova Scotia have arranged a pen pal match for patrons to exchange letters. We provide kits with stationery and writing prompts. Letters will be sent to/from the libraries; you will receive notice to pick up your letter. Register & pick up your kit at the Reference Desk now. Bring your written letter back to us by March 31.

Defensive Driving Saturday, April 2 or Thursday, April 28 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (in-person) Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, and collision insurance for three years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months.The fee is $30, due at registration. Register at the Reference Desk with a check or money order payable to Empire Safety Council.

Glitter Tumbler Monday, April 4, 7:00 - 8:30 PM (in-person) These double-walled tumblers hold glitter and will be decorated with your name and choice of icon made using the cricut machine. Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.

Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.

Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
