April Fools' Contest
 
During all of April,
for all children through grade 5.
 
Write down or tell a joke to a Children's Librarian. We'll put it on the bulletin board and enter you in a raffle. One joke per child per day. One winner will be randomly selected at the end of April.

 
Do you know about the Library of Things?
You can check out items like a cornhole set, telescope,
bird watching kit, Roku with Vudu, Wi-Fi Hotspot,
metal detector, board games and more!
Most items require an Adult South Country Library card for checkout.

Earth Day
Leaf Impression Ornament
Registration & pick-up begins
Wednesday, April 13
For children in grades K - 5.
Create an impression of a leaf or small plant from the yard using air-dry clay. When the clay dries, you will be able to paint it with watercolors.
 
 
Cupcake Liner Kite

For children in grades Pre-K - 5.
Spring is in the air with this fun craft! 
 
Littles' Bingo
Registration & pick-up begins
Thursday, April 21
For toddlers age 18 - 35 months.
Using colorful cereal and a special bingo card, children can use their number recognition skills to play bingo.
 
 

 
Kids Birthdays
 
We love to make kids feel
special for their birthday!
During your child's birthday month, let us know at the Children's Desk so we can put their name on a paper candle on the bulletin board birthday cupcake, and give them a birthday sticker.

New Concept Kits Every Wednesday
For children ages 2.5 - 5 years.
Pick up a concept kit to
help with early learning.
Contains worksheets and a craft on
a particular concept or letter.
