Movie: American Underdog

Tells the inspirational true story of Kurt Warner, who went from a stock boy at a grocery store to a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback. The film centers on Warner's unique story and years of challenges and setbacks, persevering only with the support of his wife and family, coaches, and teammates. Click here to register.
 
 
Defensive Driving
Thursday, April 28
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (in-person)
 
Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, and collision insurance for three years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months.The fee is $30, due at registration. Register at the Reference Desk with a check or money order payable to Empire Safety Council. 
 

 
Game Day Wednesday
 
All of our game clubs meet in person every Wednesday. 
Please register in person at the Reference Desk,
by phone at 631-286-0818 x1, or online (links below).
 
Please also sign in each week you attend.
  • Mah-Jongg: 10 AM - 12 PM
  • Chess: 11 AM - 1 PM
  • Bridge: 12 - 2:30 PM
  • Canasta: 1 - 3:30 PM
One or two game sets will be provided for each game,
or you may bring your own.

You may call or stop by the Reference Desk with your library card to register ahead of time. Pick-up begins on the first of the month.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Both above services provide live virtual assistance
every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
