SEAL 101 Training

SEAL 101 Training Online

This training will introduce participants to the SEAL resource sharing system, managed by Southeastern NY Library Resources Council. SEAL connects libraries of all types in the Southeastern region—encompassing Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, and Ulster counties—and allows them to easily share books, DVD’s, and other resources. This webinar will cover the ins and outs of using the SEAL system, including creating and managing an account, placing requests, lending items, and producing statistics. It will also touch on delivery methods and some additional resources for inter-library loan, including the Regional Inter-library Loan Code and Procedures and the Medical Information Services Program (MISP).

About the Speaker:

Kelsey Milner is the Resource Sharing and Cataloging Librarian at Southeastern NY Library Resources Council. In addition to coordinating the use of SEAL, she also processes inter-library loan referrals on behalf of member libraries and manages Southeastern’s Special Library Catalog.

This session will be recorded. Particpants will receive 1 CE credit. Click here to access the RCLS code of conduct.
