English Walk and Talk Time is part of the library's English Talk Time program. Walk and Talk Time is an outdoor program for people who enjoy walking and meeting people from other cultures! Walk and Talk takes place every Thursday - weather permitting! Please register to receive a notification of any cancellations due to inclement weather.

What do we do?

  • Participants take a nice walk around Quincy Center. We enjoy casual conversation. We stop and talk about the many interesting things there are to see around Quincy Center.

Where do we go?

  • Participants walk about 2 miles at a slow pace. Sometimes there will be a destination (for example: a historical home, an interesting landmark or a local garden) and sometimes we will simply walk around Quincy Center and enjoy talking with each other.

Who should attend this program?

  • This program is for adult English Language Learners interested in practicing their English conversation skills.
  • Longtime residents of Quincy interested in meeting our international community members are also welcome!
  • Volunteer teachers from the English Talk Time program will attend, as well.
  • Children are welcome to join the walks, but must be accompanied and supervised by a caregiver at all times.

Where do we meet?

  • Participants meet in front of the Main Library on Washington Street.
  • Look for a group of people wearing sneakers! :)

Please contact the Talk Time office with any questions by phone 617-376-3295 or email quenglishtalk@ocln.org.

We hope to see you on the walk!
