Hello South Country Community, Our Summer Reading Clubs start this week! Register at the Adult Reference Desk. Earn tickets in your reading log. 1 book read = 1 raffle ticket to enter for weekly prizes. Register at the YA Desk. Earn points by reading books and completing activities. Trade points for raffle tickets to win great prizes! Register at the Children's Desk. Bring your reading record each week for a weekly prize. Super readers earn raffle tickets for more prizes. Discounted tickets for the Watch Hill Ferry are available for purchase at the Patron Services Desk. View our flyer for details. Notice regarding Sunday hours: From July 3 through September 4, the library will be closed on Sundays. The library will be closed on Monday, July 4th. Eligibility: Healthy people age 17-75*, who weigh a minimum of 110 lbs. Eat well (low fat); drink fluids. No tattoos for past 12 months. Please let us know in advance if you require special assistance due to a disability. *Age 16 or age 76 and older may donate with special consent forms. The Library offers free passes to select museums on Long Island & in NYC. We also provide access to discounted tickets to Splish Splash & the Long Island Aquarium.

Supplies are low in our Give or Take Food Pantry

We have a bin in the lobby where we will gratefully accept all donations of non-perishable food to help re-stock the pantry. Thank you for your generosity!

Our Give or Take Food Pantry is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.

Have you checked out our Seed Library? Our patrons may choose up to three packets per visit from a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Learn more here.

The Library has a Notary Public Available Tuesdays through Thursdays by appointment. Call (631) 286-0818 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment. Fee: $2.00 per notarized signature

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
|
|
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
|
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
|
|
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
