Virtual: Researching your Scottish Ancestors

Tuesday, July 196:30—8:30 PMZoom

Finding Scottish Ancestors Online helps you use leading websites and lesser-known databases for Scottish research, featuring search strategies for finding parish records, civil registrations, marriages, wills, tax lists, burial registers, and other records.   You’ll also find resources for Scottish place names and geographical location research, and discover supporting resources, including help with Scottish handwriting, clans and tartans, and tutorials to advance your skills with Scottish records.

Nancy E. Loe is a professional archivist and genealogist, who writes and lectures on US and European genealogy research and records. She also provides expert guidance on organizing research and preserving family papers and photographs.  Her site features a blog, monthly newsletter, and genealogy e-books on U.S. and European research. Nancy also provides expert guidance on information management and research skills.  In addition to appearing on PBS's American Experience, Nancy has presented for all experience levels at National Genealogical Society, Rootstech, Jamboree, Legacy Family Tree and genealogy conferences in the US, Canada, and Australia.
