FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Our classes are friendly, non-competitive and judgment free. We offer all-level classes well suited to beginners and seasoned yoga practitioners alike. Modifications, variations, physical demonstration and verbal instruction will be provided.

  • Yoga can reduce inflammation, increase strength and flexibility, support joint health, improve balance, improve heart health, decrease stress and anxiety and help to improve the symptoms of depression.

  • We really love this quote from an unknown source, “Saying you’re not flexible (or strong) enough to do yoga is like saying you’re too dirty to take a bath.” Strength and flexibility are the product of yoga, not a prerequisite.

  • A water bottle to hydrate and a yoga mat or towel to practice with. Blocks and props are optional. For outdoor classes, consider the weather and plan accordingly. This may mean bringing bug spray, sunscreen or a light blanket for savasana.

  • Whatever keeps you comfortable, keeps you covered and allows you to move freely.

  • We encourage everyone to bring their own mat or towel to practice with as we only have a limited number of extra available for use. We do not have props. For in-studio classes, please contact the participating studio for details.

  • Use our contact form to be notified directly or follow us on social media! Schedule updates will be posted on our website, across our social media platforms, and via participating venues.

  • Yoga is traditionally practiced barefoot.

    The yoga mat can be a sacred space for some. Please avoid stepping on or touching another persons mat.

    If you need to leave early, please consider leaving before savasana to preserve this healing time of rest.

    Please be kind, courteous and respectful of the spaces we share.

  • Please stay home if you are not feeling well!

    We use a trauma informed approach when teaching and do not offer hands on assists.

    Intoxication will not be tolerated. Any person suspected of intoxication will be asked to leave.

  • Cell phones: Please turn your cellphones to silent or off during class and please step away to use the phone if necessary.

    Audio and/or video recording: Massachusetts is a two-party consent state. This means that you are not legally allowed to record audio or video unless conset is obtained by all participating parties.
