Storytime & Nature Hike at Wertheim
Saturday, September 10, 10:30 - 11:30 AM
340 Smith Road, Shirley, 11967
Transportation is not provided to Wertheim.
 
For children in grades Pre-K - 5
with an adult.
 
Join us at Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge for a fun storytime followed by a short hike. Please wear sneakers.
Bug spray is recommended

Contest: Don't Let the
Pigeon Drive the Bus!
During the whole month of September
The pigeon is driving a school bus in the Children's Department. Kids can find him, tell a librarian, and be entered into a raffle. One entry per child per day. The winner will be randomly selected.
 

 
Take-Home Craft & Activity Kits
Kits are available for pick-up as soon as registration begins, while supplies last. Register in-person, by phone (631-286-0818 x2), or online.
 
Alphabet Kit
Registration & pick-up begins
Friday, September 2
For children ages 1 - 5 years.
We want to help your child with early literacy. This kit includes coloring sheets, an alphabet border, and a simple alphabet book to help your child practice the alphabet with you.

Kids Birthdays
We love to make kids feel
special for their birthday!
During your child's birthday month, let us know at the Children's Desk so we can put their name on a paper candle on the bulletin board birthday cupcake, and give them a birthday sticker.
