September is the perfect time to sign up or renew your library card!
What’s the most important card in your wallet? The answer might surprise you: it’s your library card! It gives you easy access to the latest titles, meeting and study room reservations, online resources, and much more. Getting a card is easy. You can visit the library or www.northbrook.info/card to learn how to get a card.
In addition to Northbrook residents, Northbrook businesses, teachers, and au pairs may also be eligible to get a card. For residents of unincorporated Northbrook, our Cards for Kids and Cards for U.S. Veterans programs may make it possible to get a card at no cost. Other residents of unincorporated Northbrook have the option to purchase a library card.
Sign up or renew your library card in September to be entered into our prize drawing
All first-time library cardholders and library card renewals in September will be automatically entered into a drawing for the chance to win a gift card to a local business.
Play our all-ages scavenger hunt
This scavenger hunt is for everyone to play (even if you already have a library card).
