PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES Four computers are available for kids to use in the Children's Department. Some toys and games are also available for play.

Monster Scavenger Hunt Now through the end of October For children up through grade 5. Ask for a scavenger checklist at the Children's Desk and find the monster pictures hidden throughout the Children's Department. Find them all and get a sticker!

During your child's birthday month, let us know at the Children's Desk so we can put their name on a paper candle on the bulletin board birthday cupcake, and give them a birthday sticker.

Newborn - Pre-K Register in person at the Children's Desk. Read books to your child at your own pace and earn prizes.

Live Tutoring, Writing Lab, SkillSurfer, Language Lab, Chess Tutoring and more.

Bright by Text Families and other caregivers can receive free text messages with practical tips and activities for children from before birth to age eight. Available in English or Spanish.

Do you or a friend need help finding resources to regain stability in life? Angie and Kate are our social work interns from Stony Brook University. They can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.
