Hello South Country Community,

Our entry for this year's village scarecrow contest is Pete the Cat! Find Scarecrow Pete in front of the library. If you like our scarecrow, you can vote for us at the Patron Services desk, in village stores, or via email: info@bellportvillageny.gov

We have big news -- South Country Library is now a Passport Facility, serving first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports. Hours are by appointment only -- no walk-ins. Click here to for more information and to submit an appointment form. You may also call us at 631-286-0818 x1.

Not included in our service: renewing a passport. There is a separate process for that by mail.

Do you, or does someone you know, need help finding resources to regain stability in life? Stony Brook University Social Work students are available at the library to assist with social service referrals and paperwork. They are here on Mondays from 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM, and Tuesdays and Fridays from 5 - 9 PM. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. Click here for more information.

We will be closed on Monday, October 10, for Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Supplies are extremely low in our Give or Take Food Pantry

We are down to a handful of items.

We will very gratefully accept donations in the bin in our lobby. Please help us help your neighbors in need with non-perishable food to help re-stock the pantry. Thank you for your generosity!
We are struggling to replenish our shelves. When we are able to do so, our Give and Take Food Pantry will be located in the lobby, available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
