Neighborhood Free Book Box Volunteer Application
Volunteers are needed to restock and care for a book box in our community once weekly. Qualifications include being able to use your phone to capture and email photographs, shovel around the box (if located outdoors) and lifting books, which can be heavy! Volunteers are asked to commit to the program for one year (we provide substitute coverage for up to 4 weeks/year). The task takes a total of no more than 2 hours a week and can be done on the day and time of your choosing. We can try to arrange for you to share the care of a box which will allow for you to tend to it once every other week, working closely with another volunteer and subbing for each other, as needed.
