Martin Scorsese's After Hours is a dark, tragi-comic tale of a fish out of water, centering on an uptight, white-bread computer consultant from uptown Manhattan who finds himself in the nightmarish and incomprehensible (to him) world of Soho after dark.

Crackling dialogue and riveting suspense sequences elevate this book from pulpy crime fiction to a modern day epic.

I am rereading this book. It is as unsettling now as it was the first time I read it, just like Jonas when he uncovers his world before Sameness.

This is a fun film with great writing.

In early 2000s Tokyo, ghosts begin infecting the living world through technology. Hokey set up? Maybe; but for my money Pulse's dreamlike, low-key horror remains an effective critique of the internet age.

This reads like a picture book but is also informative! Great for young kids who love vehicles.

A dark comedy about a deeply dysfunctional suburban British family that slowly unfolds into something stranger and apocalyptic in scale the longer you read. There's a bit of buy-in required, but I swear it's worth it.
