Let us pick out your next read! Based on your likes and dislikes, we'll choose a library book for you to check out, and fill a box with themed goodies. Return the library book -- keep the rest. November's theme is the 1980s, when Stranger Things takes place.

Teen Book Club Monday, November 21, 4:30 - 5:30 PM Fear Street: Party Games by R. L. Stine Stop by the YA Desk to pick up a copy of the book to check out.

Drop-In Community Service: Holiday Cards for Seniors Tuesday, November 29, 3:00 - 5:30 PM

Stop by any time between 3:00 - 5:00 to write and decorate holiday greeting cards that will be delivered to local senior citizens. You do not need to stay the whole time. Volunteers will receive 1 hour of community service. Register here.

Attention teens in grades 9 - 12: Now is the time to sign up for Advanced Battle of the Books! Do you like to read and to play trivia? Join us as we prepare to compete against the other Suffolk County Libraries in the Advanced Battle of the Books. We focus on 2 books: Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim and The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. When you register you will receive a set of books to keep and start to read now.

Practice sessions are 7:00 - 8:00 PM on the following Thursdays: Nov. 17, Dec. 15 & 29, Jan. 12 & 26, Feb. 2 & 9. The competition will be on Saturday, February 11, at Sachem Public Library. Exact start time to be determined.
