Green Screen Holiday Photos Saturday, December 3, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM in the Sanford Room Have a holiday photo taken at the library. Choose from preselected backgrounds. No registration required.

No pets, please, and try to avoid wearing the color green, as it will interfere with the photography. Photos will be taken by library staff, not professional photographers, and will be sent to you via email.

Indoor Concert Alexander Wu: Holiday Magic Friday, December 9, 7:00 - 8:15 PM in our downstairs community room The library is very pleased to bring back pianist and music arranger, Alexander Wu.

Santa Extravaganza Wednesday, December 14, 5:00 - 6:30 PM in the Children's Department Drop in to meet Santa in a low-key environment. Children can make crafts and play with toys until they are ready to approach Santa. All ages, no registration. We'll also have magic reindeer food packets to take home, while supplies last.

Family Holiday Movie and Pajama Party Friday, December 16, 6:00 - 9:00 PM Registration begins Thursday, December 1, at 9:30 AM Families can join us for a pajama party as we watch a classic holiday film, have some tasty treats, and decorate cookies. Space is limited -- registration is required.

De-Stress with a Dog Wednesday, December 21 4:30 - 5:30 PM, in the Children's Area The holiday season can be stressful or lonely, so we've invited a therapy dog to the library. No registration, all ages.

Supplies are still low in our Give or Take Food Pantry Please help us help your neighbors in need. We will very gratefully accept donations in the bin in our lobby of non-perishable food to help re-stock the pantry. Thank you for your generosity!

Do you or a friend need help finding resources to regain stability in life? Angie and Kate are our social work interns from Stony Brook University. They can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.

Passport Services We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports.
|
|
Hours are by appointment only. You may also call us at 631-286-0818 x1. Not included in our service: renewing a passport. Printed forms are available by the Reference Desk.

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
|
|
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
|
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
|
|
Both above services provide live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
