Defensive Driving

Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, and collision insurance for three years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months. The fee is $30, due at registration. Register at the Reference Desk with a check or money order payable to Empire Safety Council.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group
2nd Monday of each month, 1:00 - 2:30 PM

We welcome back the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group presented by Family & Children's Association and Parker Jewish Institute’s Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands.
 
Join this support group for caregivers of loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. These meetings provide opportunities for individuals caring for someone with either disease to meet with other caregivers, participate in educational programs, and have questions answered about their loved one’s care.
Meetings are on the second Monday of each month. Upcoming dates: 12/12, 1/9, 2/13, 3/13, 4/10, 5/8, 6/12.

Passport Services
We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports. 
Hours are by appointment only.

Not included in our service: renewing a passport.
There is a separate process for that by mail.

Do you or a friend need help finding resources to regain stability in life?
 
Angie and Kate are our social work interns from Stony Brook University. They can help with information, referrals, and paperwork for housing, treatment, social services, unemployment, food pantries, and more.
