ExPLORE (Experiment, Play, Learn, Observe, Read, Examine) is a series of monthly hands-on science workshops for children in grades 4-6, covering a wide variety of topics.

Meeting at the Wollaston Branch Library on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8:00 pm each workshop has a short portion of instruction and then exploration and experimentation. Topics range from forensic science to bubbles and parents/caregivers are welcome to participate as well alongside their children.

Join us on Wednesday, January 18th for Castle Siege. Building a strong castle takes work and planning. Knocking it down takes planning too. First we’ll explore different building methods and build our castle together. Then we’ll experiment with different model siege weapons such as trebuchets, catapults, and battering rams before using our picks to knock the castle down.
