Start with Art (series) Wednesdays, January 11 & 25 6:30 - 7:15 PM For children in grades K- 5. Join us for painting activities and create a work of art. Dress for mess.

Coding Without Computers Thursday, January 12, 6:30 - 7:00 PM For children in grades K - 2. You don't need a computer to learn how to code! Think like a computer programmer and solve a maze puzzle with your friends. Register starting January 3.

Parent Child Workshop (series) Thursdays, January 12, 19, & 26, 10:00 - 11:00 AM For children ages 1-4 years with an adult. Enjoy a circle time and playtime and ask questions of our guests, experts in the field of early childhood.

Puffy Penguin Craft For children ages 2 - 4 years. Take home this craft and make a cute little winter penguin!

Coffee Filter Snowflake Craft For children in grades K - 5. Create a beautiful winter snowflake!

Snowflake Scratch Design For children in grades K - 5. Use a wooden stylus to scratch a silver design on two pre-cut snowflake shapes.

More Free Craft Kits available every Saturday (on 12/31, the library closes at 1 PM) All ages, no registration, while supplies last.

Winter Reading Challenge Sign up at the Children's Desk, get a special game board, complete some reading challenges, and earn a prize! Register between January 3 and 15.

Penguin Scavenger Hunt Find the penguins hidden around the Children's Department and get a sticker!

It's a fun and educational calendar-website, run by the New York State Library, for young children and their families. You can find daily songs, activities, and videos to share with your young child.

Kids Birthdays We love to make kids feel special for their birthday!

During your child's birthday month, let us know at the Children's Desk so we can put their name on a paper candle on the bulletin board birthday cupcake, and give them a birthday sticker.

Newborn - Pre-K Register in person at the Children's Desk. Read books to your child at your own pace and earn prizes.

Live Tutoring, Writing Lab, SkillSurfer, Language Lab, Chess Tutoring and more.

Bright by Text Families and other caregivers can receive free text messages with practical tips and activities for children from before birth to age eight. Available in English or Spanish.
