Children's Databases
 
Not only does the library offer free online tutor access, but we also have databases for homework or general curiosity.
 
Explore full text biographies, science experiments, reading recommendations, encyclopedias (including one in Spanish), and more! You can access a wealth of information from home with your South Country Library card.
Children's databases include Biography Reference Bank, Britannica Escolar, Britannica School Elementary, CultureGrams, Explora, Kids Info Bits, Novelist K-8 Plus, Science Online, Something About the Author, and World Book.
 

 
Your Child's Developmental Milestones
Skills such as taking a first step, smiling for the first time,
and waving "bye-bye" are called developmental milestones. --CDC
The CDC has created a milestone checklist for children age 2 months through 5 years.

We love to make kids feel

During your child's birthday month, let us know at the Children's Desk so we can put their name on a paper candle on the bulletin board birthday cupcake, and give them a birthday sticker.
