What we accept

Donate money, time and/or books…

Up to five bags/boxes of books, CDs and DVDs may be deposited in the designated bins under the staircase in the Library's first floor lobby. Donations must be in good condition and no magazines, encyclopedias or textbooks will be accepted. Larger donations may be made by appointment only by calling the Friends at 914-574-6582.

Friends of the Greenburgh Library is a 501(c)3 Not-for-Profit Organization.  Your donation is tax deductible.

Donations to the Friends support a wide variety of programs and services that are either run by or financially supported by the Board of the Friends of the Greenburgh Library and that are available to the community at no charge.

Your financial support provides valuable resources for our library.  In 2017 Friends of GPL was able to contribute more than $33,000 to the programs and activities of the Library. These funds are used for the ‘extras’ like staffing for Musical Munchkins, pizza for the teens and a computer for Seniors to develop and/or strengthen computer skills and to learn about their Medicare benefits. Additionally, the Friends (You) sponsor a variety of music, concerts and art showings in the large multi-purpose room.

Financial Donations should be made payable to Friends of the Greenburgh Library, and mailed to:
