Nevada Humanities presents 2nd Wednesday at 1 pm

Nevada Humanities presents 2nd Wednesday at 1 pm

Nevada Reads in Your Library brings authors and literary programming to public libraries across Nevada. Join us every second Wednesday of the month for workshops, author talks, and other events from Nevada Humanities.

Pull up a chair and join Nevada Humanities around the table as we gather for a community conversation while creating and crafting together. This year we are sharing stories - big and small - from across the world that teach us the importance of community and being together. Bring a project that you have been working on, and come ready to be inspired!

Poetry as Self-Care with Joanne Mallari

How can language help us tune in to the present moment? In Celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, we will turn to poetry as a means of practicing mindfulness. This hands-on workshop will invite participants to respond to selected poems and draft original content. No experience necessary and open to all ages.

Nevada Reads In Your Library brings authors and literary programming to public libraries across Nevada. This program is produced by Nevada Humanities and is made possible with support from Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
