Program Description

Event Description

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - Learn how to make plastic bags into sleeping mats for people experiencing homelessness. When plastic shopping bags inevitably accumulate, it's in Earth's best interest that we recycle them and what better way than to upcycle!

Each month, an instructional class will be held to teach newly interested community members how to use our loom and then they can visit the library any time after to help reach our community goal. We've partnered with a local organization to distribute these mats to those in need.

If you're unable to attend the listed program times, please contact Capitol Hill for accommodation.
