ExPLORE (Experiment, Play, Learn, Observe, Read, Examine) is a series of monthly hands-on science workshops for children in grades 4-6, covering a wide variety of topics.

Meeting at the Wollaston Branch Library on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:00-8:00 pm each workshop has a short portion of instruction and then exploration and experimentation. Topics range from forensic science to bubbles and parents/caregivers are welcome to participate as well alongside their children.

Join us on Wednesday, June 21st for Bubble Science. Did you realize you do science every time you play with bubbles? Bubbles are a great way to explore surface tension and the properties of different states of matter. In this (very soapy) workshop we will experiment with several different bubble solutions and try doing different things like building bubble structures and standing inside a bubble. Due to the nature of this program, we will be running the event outside in the area behind the Wollaston Branch Library. In case of inclement weather we will reschedule.
