Red Yarn
Calendar Date:
Tuesday, July 11, 2023 - 11:00amRed Yarn (aka Andy Furgeson) weaves folksongs and puppetry into high-energy, interactive shows for family audiences. With his Texas drawl, his road-worn acoustic guitar & his suitcase full of animal puppets, Red Yarn will have audiences singing, dancing, stomping, clapping, and celebrating the multicultural musical heritage of the USA. He performs a dynamic blend of traditional & original songs mixing folk, rockabilly, country and blues. As Red leads audiences through the landscapes of American folklore (depicted on beautiful quilted backdrops), he introduces his Critter friends along the way. These handmade animal puppets provide comic relief, calm and tender moments, and valuable social-emotional lessons.
